RAWALPINDI - Former Federal Law Minister and Senator Dr Babar Awan, who has already been sidelined by the ruling PPP, has to face yet another jolt on Monday when his membership of Peoples Lawyer Forum (PLF) was suspended.
Talking to TheNation, Asad Abbasi Advocate, PLF General Secretary, said that membership of Dr Babar Awan was suspended during the meeting of PLF Executive Body. He said that Awan tried to form a parallel group within the PLF while awarding his blue-eyed people and ignoring the party workers which led to suspension of his membership. He added that Awan left the party alone in hard time and also dent the image of leadership.
The PLF Rawalpindi has also sent its recommendations to PLF Provincial Body President Khurram Latif Khose to end the basic membership of the Senator, besides forwarding the proceedings of the meeting to party’s head wings chairperson Faryal Talpur and the divisional coordinators for further action, said Asad Abbasi Advocate.
