CDA beat Medicam in G-II Patron’s Trophy



ISLAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI - CDA pulled off a sensational 3-wicket win against Medicam, while the match between Army and SSGC ends in a draw in the Patron's Trophy Grade-II round two Group B matches held at Pindi Cricket Stadium and National ground on Monday.
In the first match at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Medicam were bowled out for 171 runs in 42.3 overs in their second outing, Mukhtar Ahmed top scored with 62 and Salman Ali added valuable 41 runs. Hamza Nadeem got 6 for 42 for CDA.
Needing 261 runs for victory CDA reached home in 58 overs after loosing 7 wickets.  Adnan Mufti top scored with a polished innings of 63 while Ali Sarfraz made second consecutive half century of the match.
In the second match played at National ground, SSGC declared their second innings at 249 for the loss of 7 wickets, Saeed Bin Nasir played well for his 61 as Asif Zakir scored 49 runs, for Army Shahid Khan picked 4 for 45.
Army needing 298 runs for victory very lucky enough to save the day as they were restricted to 244/9. AdnanYounis played a memorable innings of 116 runs, Sadaf Hussain and Atif Maqbool chipped in with 3 wickets each.
KPT beat Income Tax:
AT Bohranwali Ground, Faisalabad, KPT beat Income Tax by 9 wickets in group C match on Monday.
Income Tax made 305/9 and 156 while KPT scored 291 and 174 for the loss of one wicket thus won the match by nine wickets.
PAF score 115 runs win:
At Country Club, Muridke. PAF defeated HEC by 115 runs on Monday. PAF scored 245/9 in their first innings and scored 244 runs in their second outing. HEC scored 199 and 175 in their first and second innings and fell short 115 runs of victory target.
Meanwhile, all three group A matches of round two of Patrons Trophy Grade II played at different venues of Karachi ended in draw.
Customs and Navy match played at UBL ended in draw. The highlight of the final day's play was 102 scored by Navy’s Fazal Subhan. In another match of the group at NBP cricket Stadium, Omar associates and Sindh Police also ended in a draw. The third match of the group between host Pakistan Steel and Saudi Cricket international at Quaid-e-Azam Park also ended without result.
