MIRPURKHAS/SHIKARPUR - The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have finalised foolproof security arrangements for ensuring peaceful Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
According to the arrangements given final shape by SSP Mirpurkhas Nazeer Ahmed Mir Bahar, police personnel would be deployed in and around mosques and imambargahs as well as in markets and shopping centers besides other important spots like chowks and entry and exit points of the city.
The participants of Chehlum processions would be escorted by the personnel of police and Rangers while an eye would be kept on the traffic moving in as well as out of the district in order to prevent the entry of suspicious elements. The processions would also be monitored through CCTV cameras.
Similarly in Shikarpur, according to police, about 1,500 of its personnel would perform duties on the eve of Chehlum, while strict surveillance would be maintained through closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
Parking of vehicles would not be allowed on the route of processions while no vehicle or a motorcycle will be allowed to move along with the processions.
The participants will be frisked with metal detectors before allowing into the procession while walkthrough gates will also be installed to further tighten security.
Meanwhile, snap checking has been initiated at the entry & exit points of the district to cope with any untoward incident while all the routes leading to Katcha areas have been completely blocked.
Similarly raids are being carried out to apprehend the criminals and their facilitators.
