City's Aguero injured on Argentina duty

LONDON - Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero sustained an injury to his left hamstring during Argentina's 2-0 loss to Ecuador in World Cup qualifying, the club said Friday. "Sergio Aguero lasted just 22 minutes of Argentina's opening World Cup qualifier against Ecuador," City said. "The City striker, who scored five goals in his last game against Newcastle, pulled up holding his left hamstring while chasing a long ball downfield." Aguero, 27, was stretchered off mid-way through the first half of Thursday's game in Buenos Aires and is set to miss Argentina's next match away to Paraguay on Tuesday. He is also a doubt for City's next game to Bournemouth on October 17. Aguero scored five goals against Newcastle United, becoming the fifth player to score five goals in one game in EPL.
