Rawalpindi girls school shut down due to lack of teachers

Rawalpindi: Due to the inefficiency of Education Department, Rawalpindi, Govt Primary School Jada has been closed because of non availability of teachers.

The closure of the school has put at stake the future of 40 girls who have been asked to stay home. Fearing that their children would lose precious year of education, the parents have started efforts to get their children admitted in private schools.

DEO Education has ordered an enquiry into the matter. The Jada Govt Girls Primary School was constructed in 1926 over 3 kanal of land. The school had two teachers to educate about forty girls. Reports said that as one teacher has been transferred, the other is on LPR and in the absence of teachers the school has been closed.
