Pakistan urges for wide-range cooperation among ECO members

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has urged for wide-range cooperation among the ECO member states for economic development and prosperity, reported Radio Pakistan. 

He was addressing the four-day 28th meeting of Regional Planning Council of Economic Cooperation Organization which began in Islamabad on Monday.

The Minister said we will have to focus on human resoucre development for economic development.

He said the world is facing challenges of terrorism and extremism and law and order is inevitable for development.

Ahsan Iqbal said we will have to ensure conservation of natural resources for our succeeding generations.

The four-day 28th meeting of Regional Planning Council of Economic Cooperation Organization is underway in Islamabad on Monday.

ECO Special Conference on Afghanistan is also planned to be held on the sidelines of the meeting.

The "ECO Day 2017"will also be celebrated on the sidelines of the meeting on Thursday.
