PM to inaugurate Sangla Hill Interchange today

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate Sangla Hill Interchange at Pindi Bhattian – Faisalabad Motorway section of M-4 - today (Friday).

The newly-built interchange will link adjoining areas of Sangla Hill to the National Highway and the Motorway network, paving the way for agricultural and industrial development. The 3.7 kilometre-long interchange has been completed at a cost of over Rs299.2 million with a service road of 440-metre. Two toll plazas and a control building have also been built at the interchange. The interchange will make smooth the progress of traffic to Lahore, Islamabad, Sargodha, Chiniot, Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad and Jhang.  Likewise, traffic from Lahore to Sheikhpura and Faisalabad will have access to the motorway. Moreover, commercial traffic of an under-construction industrial zone in Faisalabad will also use the interchange, said a press release issued by National Highway Authority (NHA).  Presently, the NHA and the Ministry of Communications are working on a number of projects throughout the country with the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) being a top priority.
