Rescue ‘key point’ set up at Pindi Bhattian

 

HAFIZABAD : The district government has decided to set up “Key Point” of Rescue 1122 at Pindi Bhattian to ensure in time response to any road accidents.

The decision has been made in the aftermath of a fatal motorway accident near Sukheki that claimed 18 precious lives a couple of days ago.

People of the area have welcomed the decision regarding the establishment of the “Rescue Key Point” which was the longstanding demand of residents of Tehsil Pindi Bhattian.  According to District Emergency Officer, the key point of Rescue 1122 has been set up at the office of the Pindi Bhattian TMA office to respond to any accident on motorway and other roads across the tehsil. He informed that necessary staff has been posted at the key point while ambulances and fire-tenders would remain alert at the point round the clock.  According to eyewitness, death toll in November 2, accident rose due to delay in rescue operation.

Six held in op

The police claimed to have arrested six outlaws including drug-peddlers and proclaimed offenders in operations conducted in different areas. The police recovered huge amount of drugs from their possession.

According to police, a Saddr Police contingent on a tip-off, raided different drug dens and arrested the accused identified as Asad Shah, Anwar Kamal and Sher. The police also recovered 3kg of drugs from their possession.
