SADIQABAD - An elderly woman was mauled to death by pet dogs unleashed by influential landlords in Kot Sabzwal here the other day.
According to police, the woman identified as Safia Mai, a resident of Chak 179, was passing through the fields when the influential landlords of the area including Yasir, Shakir and Mazar Khan unleashed dogs on her. The dogs savagely attacked the woman, killing her on the spot. On information, the Kot Sabzwal Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital for post-mortem. The police have arrested the accused and registered a case against them.

The Motorways Police officials taught the motorcyclists techniques which can be helpful in avoiding road mishaps.
According to Motorways Police, a campaign has been launched to train motorcyclists and teach them traffic laws under the directives of IG Highways and Motorways Police Shoukat Hayat.
During the session, Motorways Police Beat-24 DSP Muhammad Humayun advised the motorcyclists to use helmet while riding motorbikes, adding not to violate traffic bylaws to avoid accidents. He also advised them to place side mirrors at their bikes and never let underage children and untrained youth, ride motorcycles, terming it the main reason behind road mishaps.
Operation Officer Zahoorul Hassan advised the motorbike riders to obey the traffic laws, adding they will be fined otherwise.
