BEIJJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay state visits to Ecuador, Peru and Chile from November 17th to the 23rd.

The Foreign Ministry announced that it would be President Xi 's third visit to Latin America since taking office in 2013.

The trip is aimed at boosting political trust and cooperation between China and Latin America . His visit will start in Ecuador, where China continues to provide aid and preferential loans following April's earthquake.

President Xi will also attend the 24th APEC Economic Leaders’ Summit in the Peruvian capital, Lima. 

"President Xi 's participation at the leaders' meeting shows that China values the strengthening of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region. China successfully held the meeting in Beijing in 2014, and the implementation of follow-up work has made positive progress. During the meeting in Lima, President Xi will attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Summit and deliver a speech. He will also have bilateral meetings with leaders of various world economies," said Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong.
