KARACHI - Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) is all set to respond to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Farooq Sattar’s allegations as the party announced to hold important press conference today (Saturday).
According to details, PSP chairman Mustafa Kamal and President Anees Qaimkhani will respond to MQM-P convener Dr Farooq Sattar’s last press conference held outside his residence. It is expected that PSP leadership would reveal about the talks which were held between the both parties before its merger.
Earlier on Thursday, MQM-P Convener Dr Farooq Sattar presenting himself for the accountability lambasted PSP chairman Mustafa Kamal saying that Kamal should not go far in his enmity with Altaf Hussain and MQM-London leadership that he winds up insulting Mohajir Community.
He said that party had been forced to revert to Mohajir politics, adding the major parties are not doing national politics as they claim.
Sattar also announced quitting politics but later withdraw his decision stating that her mother asked him to take back decision and ordered to serve the people.
MQM Pakistan leadership face massive resistance within the party followed by the joint press conference held at Karachi Press Club MQM-Pakistan and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) announced to continue work relationship with new party name and symbol.
The overnight decision taken by the MQM Pakistan convener Dr Farooq Sattar gave an impression to end the 35 years old political struggle with the label of MQM which resulting party leadership and workers declined to accept the decision. The senior party leadership including senior deputy convener Amir Khan, former Deputy convener Shahid Pasha, Faisal Sabzwari, Kanwar Naveed, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhter, Mahfooz Yar Khan, Ali Raza Abidi and various other leaders declined to accept the spontaneous decision taken by the Farooq Sattar.
This entire pressure builds up forced MQM Convener Dr Farooq Sattar to take ‘U-turn’ and withdraw decision of MQMP-PSP merger. Furthermore, MQM-Pakistan coordination committee during a meeting took the decision to continue MQM-P political activities along with its flag, manifesto and election symbol.
According to details, MQM-P deputy convener Kanwar Naveed Jameel chaired the meeting of party coordination committee in absence of Party Convener Dr Farooq Sattar. During the meeting the not only opposed the Convener‘s Sattar decision of MQMP-PSP merger but also decided that party will stay united under its flag. However the party decision making body expressed confidence on the leadership of Convener Dr Farooq Sattar.
PSP leaders Anis Advocate responding to MQM-P press conferences said that MQM would be history sooner.
He said that MQM is facing destruction and due to inappropriate leadership its chapter would soon face the end.
MQM coordination committee members were actually bunch of useless people and don’t matter anymore, said Anis adding that the minus-MQM is imminent.
He said that PSP can never think of any alliance with any entity namely MQM. While recent development of MQMP-PSP merger had panicked the members of MQM coordination committee as they were aware that their era had came to an end. Furthermore, MQM-P convener Dr Farooq Sattar on Friday in a video message has announced to march to Yadgar-e-Shuhuda located in Azizabad locality of Karachi.
Sattar in the message invited the party supporters to attend the march and said party would take out a march from Ayesha Manzil to Yadgar-e-Shuhuda to honor the party martyrs on November 11. “Long Live Pakistan, Long Live MQM-Pakistan” concluded Sattar.
