ISLAMABAD - The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee meeting was held here at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Tuesday. General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, presided over the meeting which was attended by COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, along with senior military officers from the three services. The JCSC is a platform to discuss, exchange and evaluates opinions of services chiefs on the operational preparedness of the armed forces.
Being a quarterly moot of senior military leadership, it focuses on all the issues related to the national security challenges being faced by the country. The emerging geo-strategic environment, internal security along with matters related to tri-service operational readiness were discussed.
