14 emergency response centres soon

KARACHI - KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that emergency response centres were being setup at 14 different locations in city to provide immediate help in case of any emergency or accidents.
Out of these five response centers had already started work with round the clock coordination with the fire brigade and ambulance services, city wardens and the KMC head office, said a statement issued by the KMC here the other day.
He said this while chairing a meeting on emergency response centres on Friday which was attended by D.G Technical Services, Senior Director Municipal Services, Sr. Director T&C, Senior Director Medical Services and other concerned officers.
The administrator said following the directives of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, these emergency response centers were established beneath the flyovers in different areas of city which would provide instant help in case of any emergency situation or accident in the nearby areas. He said these centres would also provide help in maintaining traffic flow and drainage of rain water during the coming monsoon.
 The Works and Services Department had been directed to finish the setting up of these response centers as soon as possible.
The Administrator Karachi said these emergency response centres would in future play important role in serving the citizens as rescue teams along with fire brigade and required machinery would be dispatched in case of any causality or accident.
He said that the citizens would be informed about the contact numbers of these emergency response centers through newspapers.
