Campus United, Real Lahore enter semis

LAHORE - Campus United and Real Lahore entered the 1st All-Pakistan Football Challenge Cup semifinals here at the Model Town Football Ground Monday. However, hosts Fame Football Club (Orange) failed to qualify because of an own goal by their defender. In the first quarterfinals, Campus United beat Fame Football Club (Orange) 2-1 in a hotly-contested match. Fame defender Atif committed a blunder in the 27th minute by scoring an own goal. Striker Ali Tayyab doubled the Campus United’s lead in the 58th minute. Fame captain Zia Dogar hit the lone goal. In the second quarterfinals, Baba Cargo Football Club defeated Black Pool Football Club 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Javed Gill on the penalty kick in the 34th minute. In the third quarterfinals, Real Lahore routed Murad Football Club 3-0.
