LAHORE - PML-N central leader Hamza Shehbaz has said that performance of the incumbent government is speaking for itself.
Speaking at the laptop distribution ceremony here yesterday, Hamza said that in today’s world performance of a government speaks for itself; it does not need projection and proof.
Hamza criticised the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced that he would build 350 dams in the province, but he failed to build even a single one. He said politics must be based on truth and the PML-N firmly believed in honesty and good deeds.
Hamza said the masses would decide their future. He said that public service had been the motto of the PML-N government that increased the education budget four and half times from what it was before the elections. He said no government in the past attended to the needs of CPEC and the credit of materialising this project goes to the PML-N.
He said innumerable sacrifices were given for peace in the country and these sacrifices must be acknowledged and not let go waste by politicians. He said it is peace that attracts foreign investment to the country. He saluted those who laid down their lives for the sake of peace in country. He laid stress on consistency in economic policies. He talked about the Karachi situation and said it was far better today than what it was in the past.
Hamza said that progress in Pakistan is an eyesore for the enemy, which is pursuing every mean to thwart development projects in the country. Despite all that, he said, the government is fast completing development projects. He laid stress on unity among politicians against the enemies of Pakistan.
About the cases against Sharifs, Hamza said during eight years of the Musharraf government these cases were thrashed but nothing was found. He said the country could go ahead by establishing credibility of the ballot.
