PM wants end to Kashmiris sufferings

Early settlement of Kashmir dispute is the top priority of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to mitigate sufferings of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rasheed said.
He declared that establishment of ever-lasting peace in the region is imperative for durable peace in the world which could not be achieved without the settlement of the Kashmir issue.
He was addressing a convention of PML-N AJK workers in Bhimber district of Mirpur division of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The federal minister pointed out that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be in a better position to highlight Kashmir issue at the international forums in an effective manner with the PML-N comes into power in AJK after the forthcoming general elections in the state.
Pervaiz Rasheed said that he and other leaders of the PML-N were accorded a rousing reception by people of AJK, adding that people of the AJK are anxious to bid farewell to the incumbent PP government in AJK and welcome the PML-N in the power.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that PML-N accepted mandate of the PP in AJK and adopted policy of non-interference. "But it is high time to hold it (PP-led AJK government) accountable through ballot", he stressed. He said that people of AJK would vote for the PML-N in the coming AJK elections to bring it into power and reject corruption and bad governance, prevailing in the state.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir, Dr Asif Kirmani, special assistant to the Prime Minister, and Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, deputy opposition leader in AK Legislative Assembly also addressed the convention. A large number of PML-N workers and supporters from across district Bhimber and other parts of Mirpur division attended the convention.
