LAHORE  - Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has ordered inquiry into the police torture on the protesting women in Faisalabad.
The Chief Minister has asked Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan to look into the matter while the Inspector General Police will present report within 48 hours about baton-charge on women when they were protesting against loadshedding.
He called for taking strict against those police men who violated sanctity of privacy and thrashed women entering their homes.
First meeting of Punjab
Cabinet today
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will chair, the first meeting of the newly constituted Punjab Cabinet at CM Secretariat here on Wednesday (today).
The meeting is expected to discuss priorities of the PML-N government and how the Ministers have to meet the same and in addition to considering proposals for the next provincial budget.
