LAHORE - The Lahore High Court on Tuesday ordered the Executive District Officer (Health) to reinvestigate theft of freezers required to preserve measles vaccine. The court passed the order on a petition moved by a drug inspector Bilal Yaseen who challenged his suspension by the health department over starting probe as inquiry officer. Earlier, EDO Rana Raza Gilani appeared before the court and submitted that the inquiry was in progress and the responsible must be brought to the book. At this, Justice Mamoonur Rahsid asked the EDO that why he had not visited the spot so far? The judge asked him to thoroughly investigate into the matter and inform the court within one week.  In his petition, the drug inspector through counsel had submitted that he was suspended for pointing out theft of fridges provided by UNICEF for storage of vaccines of measles. The petitioner submitted that a plenty of fridges were provided to Pakistan for storage of the vaccines.
