LAHORE- The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday directed a federal government lawyer to take instructions from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Patron-in-Chief Asif Ali Zardari in response to a petition seeking dissolution of Board of Governors.
The petitioner, through his counsel, submitted that the court restrained PCB chief Zaka Ashraf from performing his responsibilities. After the stay, the board of governors had become ineffective, the counsel added. Citing the section 41 of PCB Act, the counsel said the BoG stands automatically dissolved whenever the chairman had been barred from performing his functions. He requested the court to issue directives to the PCB’s patron-in-chief for removing the directors form BoG.  The court, after hearing initial arguments, directed the law officer to apprise the court after taking instruction from patron-in-chief over the matter. The court adjourned the hearing for indefinite time.
