Islamabad- Leaders of parliamentary parties in the National Assembly in their first meeting on Tuesday took many decisions regarding the working of the 14th National Assembly’s upcoming session with an aim to run proceedings of the house smoothly.
The meeting, chaired by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, unanimously decided that the session of the National Assembly would start at fixed time and parliamentary leaders would ensure the attendance of their members. All the parliamentary leaders assured their support to the National Assembly Secretariat in its action against illegal occupants of the Parliament Lodges.
Various issues related to the business of the National Assembly, security of the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges came under discussion.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq thanked the participants for attending the meeting. All the parliamentary lodges assured their all-out support to the speaker in conducting the proceeding of the House.

“We have taken elaborated measures to provide foolproof security ahead of Wednesday’s session. A raft of security measures had been put in place including deployment of heavy contingence of police,” a senior official of ICT police said.
Insiders said the high-ups of Islamabad administration are especially conscious about security of the legislative arm of the government during Wednesday’s session that prompted them to beef up security so that none of the legislators fall victim to any attack.
