KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday strongly condemned the bombing on a funeral on the outskirts of Peshawar.
In a statement, the MQM chief expressed profound grief over the loss of human lives and injuries in the blast in Badaber area. He said that terrorists were carrying out such blasts to harm the integrity of the country and create instability and chaos. He said that terrorists did not deserve any leniency. Altaf further said that elements behind the attack were distorting the face of Islam. He also offered condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery and good health of those injured in the attack.
He demanded President Zardari, PM Gilani and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take notice of the blast and bring the perpetrators to book.
