OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafiq Malik has warned Town Municipal Officers and police officers saying any death sale of killer string and kite flying, claiming life of any citizen will not be tolerated at any cost and such officers will be responsible for occurrence of such kind of incident in their concerned areas. While addressing a meeting, held here on Friday, he said that officials of special branch have been given task to keep eye on kite-flying activities in the city. He also directed the town administrations to inform the SHO of concerned police station immediately in case they witness kites flying. The meeting was attended by all the TMOs, Divisional SPs Assistant Commissioners and other officers. The Commissioner also directed DCO Ahad Cheema to ensure clearance of all the electricity poles and wires from kite-flying in order to avoid untoward incidents. However, DCO informed the meeting that CDG is going to launch a public awareness campaign in this regard following crackdown against cords and kite-flying.
