LAKKI MARWAT - The Wildlife Department of DI Khan division has launched a crackdown against illegal poachers to discourage the illegal hunting of water birds and other wildlife species through shooting. DFO Wildlife DI Khan division Haji Rehmatullah Khan Marwat told this correspondent on Friday that the department had formed special teams to discourage and stop illegal poaching in Indus Game Reserve, Chashma Game Sanctuary and other areas of the division. He said that a team headed by Pahar Pur range wildlife officer Samiullah caught several poachers red handed in the area of Chashma barrage. The illegal poachers were served challans and punished by the authorities with on spot fine, he maintained.
