'No one will be allowed to ruin peace in Muharram

KHANEWAL - No one will be allowed to ruin peace in Khanewal district during the holy month of Muharramul Haram. This was stated by DCO Rashid Mehmood while addressing a meeting of District Peace Committee held here in connection with the upcoming month of Muharram. He said that any negligence would not be tolerated in this regard and it is the national responsibility of all religious scholars to help the government to maintain peace and to promote religious harmony among all sects. DCO Rashid Mehmood told the meeting that all the arrangements to maintain law and order situation in the district had been finalised in accordance with the clear directions by the provincial government and no one would be allowed loud speakers on vehicles. The DCO added that the controversial matters in Kabirwala among different sects should be resolved with mutual understanding. Maulana Muhammad Ashraf Chishti Golarvi stated that Islam is the religion that promotes peace and harmony. Dr Sahrafat Ali Bhutta urged the district government for the reconstruction of roads and streets of procession routs. Speakers Saghir Hussain Jaffari, Jackob Wazfir, Mubshir Hussain Bhutta, Mushtaq Ahmad, Muhammad Asghar Kamboh, Inam ullah Qureshi and Khurshid Gerdezi assured full cooperation with the Peace Committee and provincial government for all arrangements of Moharamul Haram.
