Plane bomb threat woman 'missed husband

A woman accused of making threats to blow up planes was apparently upset because she missed her husband when he was working night shifts. Soraya Evette Billinge told a dispatcher that she did not like her husband working nights at Southwest Florida International Airport and feared being at home alone, according to Lee County Port Authority police. However, when the police said that they could not intervene to change her husbands shifts, Billinge became angry and threatened to blow up ten planes, local Florida affiliate NBC-2 reports. Billinge was taken to the Port Authority police headquarters by her husband and has subsequently been arrested and charged with offences including making a threat to bomb. A Romanian monk was fined 500 in 2008 when he made a hoax bomb warning at his local hospital. The man argued that the call was meant to be a practical joke, but the threat was taken seriously and police evacuated the building. DS
