OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Justice Mazhar Iqbal Sidhu of the Lahore High Court on Friday directed the Okara DPO to produce a 24-year-old girl, Maryam, who married to a traffic warden three years before. The judge also directed the Okara police to produce all the relatives of the girl before the court on Monday who kept the girl in illegal custody. The petitioners counsel, Asghar Gill, alleged that the girls brother Dr Usman Lashari, girls sister Dr Amna Lashari and his brother-in-law, Hassan Farooq Watto, tortured the girl and forced the girl to demand divorce from her husband. Traffic Warden Humayou Shahzad filed his petition to recover his wife from her parents. He requested the Lahore High Court that his wife is in great danger in illegal custody of her parents and he had no contact with him for the last four days. He also claimed that both have life threats.
