OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has condemned the fresh raise of over Rs 3 per unit in the electricity tariff and said the government was putting additional burden on the helpless masses in the name of fuel adjustment. In a statement issued here on Friday, he appealed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice of the matter. He believed that the loss suffered by the government on account of electricity theft was being recovered from the consumers in the name of fuel adjustment, a term that had been introduced by the present government.
