HAFIZABAD-Ch Safdar Hussain Tarar was given rousing receptions at District Bar Association upon arrival in his hometown Hafizabad after his election as General Secretary Supreme Court Bar Association.
Addressing function at the DBA held in his honour, he said that it is great honour for Hafizabad that he has been elected as Secretary SCBA. He said that he would strive for the protection of rights of lawyers, better coordination and cohesion between the bar and bunch and also to provide relief to the oppressed masses.
He was also welcomed at the Press Club Hafizabad by the workers of Roshan Pakistan Welfare Society and Anjuman Nojawanan-i-Hafizabad. Founder Chairman Roshan Pakistan Welfare Society and Anjuman Nojawanan-i-Hafizabad, Chairman Press Club Shafqat Hussain Tarar and ex-Presidents District Bar Association Mian Muhammad Siddique Bhatti, Muhammad Farooq Khokhar while welcoming the guest appreciated his talents and hoped that besides working for the lawyers community, he would also struggle for the betterment of the area. Later, he was entertained at lunch.
ACE NABS TWO LANDLORDS
The Anti-Corruption Establishment carried a raid in Matteki village and arrested two landlords - Manik Ali, son of Fateh Sher and Muhammad Shabbir, son of Hayat Muhammad who had allegedly got execution of a fake mutation of land in collusion with a patwari. A case had been registered against them in the past but they could not be arrested. The accused patwari had already been arrested.
On a tip-off, ACE Circle Officer Aamir Hussain Sandhu raided the village and succeeded in arresting them.
