Pakistan beat Canada to register their first victory in the Beijing Olympics Hockey event on Wednesday. In the second match of pool B, Pakistan secured victory over Canada by three goals to one. Canada led by one goal in the first half but goals from Muhammad Imran and Shafqat Rasool in the fourth and fifth minutes of the second half gave Pakistan an edge over Canadians. Muhammad Fayaz scored the third goal in the 58th minute hence steering Pakistan to a definite victory.
