ISLAMABAD (Online)- Owing to negligence of the authorities concerned, the sale of substandard goods are continuing at higher prices at the kiosks allotted by Capital Development Authority (CDA). The capital's authority allotted hundreds of kiosks in different sectors of the capital and outside of the hospitals, which provide eatable items to the visitors but the poor quality of these goods are reported. The citizens while informing about the selling of substandard eatable items told that the water, which is most desirable item in the summer season, is being sold at higher prices and the situation is the same at the other stalls of the capital. They blamed that the authorities concerned do not take any action as some officials of the authorities concerned are involved in extortion of money from the stall holders. Director General Municipal Administration, CDA when contacted told that he has no information about the exact number of kiosks in the capital. District Food Controller Muhammad Afzal Chaudhary told that only Deputy Commissioner Islamabad could take action in case of complaints regarding selling of substandard eatable items.
