ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s number 1 golfer Muhammad Munir had a fabulous round of golf at Airmen Golf Course on the second day of 35th CAS Open Golf Championship being played at Airmen Golf Club PAF Base Korangi Creek, Karachi on Friday.
Munir finished the second round with gross score of 68 and over all 4 under par. Muhammad Ashfaq is also sharing the lead with his overnight score of 4 under par. Munir would be entering the third round with overwhelming enthusiasm and renewed vigour. However the four day championship is still wide open with Muhammad Amir standing at number three with 3 under par and Ahmed Saeed and Afsar Ali are lagging behind with 2 under par. First round’s leader Ansar Mehmood had terrible day in the second round with gross score 78 and is on the sixth place with 1 under par. Defending champion Muhammad Shabbir also had a rough day and ended the round at par.
In senior professional category Imdad Hussain finished the day with gross score of 1 over par 145 while Muhammad Akram is the second with two over par 146.
