334 policemen diagnosed with hepatitis, diabetes

CHINIOT-As many as 334 out of 1,086 policemen here were diagnosed as having hepatitis and/or diabetes.
It was revealed after a three-day medical camp organised by health department at police lines. On the concluding day, it was revealed that a total number of 1,086 cops including 35 females were tested for various heinous diseases. Out of these cops, 163 were diagnosed with Hepatitis C and 3 with Hepatitis B. Meanwhile, 170 were found suffering from diabetics. The health department also vaccinated 1,014 cops against Hepatitis B and samples of infected persons were sent for test to a Lahore laboratory.
Police spokesperson Fahd said that medical camps were organised regularly to check the health condition and fitness of the cops.

3 sisters abducted at gunpoint

TOBA TEK SINGH - Four persons allegedly kidnapped three sisters at gunpoint from Gojra village here the other day.
According to Nawan Lahore police, suspect Shabbir along with three accomplices came to the house of Zulfiqar Ali in Chak 279/JB Darapur on a van. The accused bundled three girls including Asma Bibi (19), Shama Bibi (13) and Muqaddas Bibi (10), daughters of Zulfiqar, into the vehicle and sped away. Police registered a case against the accused and are conducting raids to recover the girls.
