KASUR-Dangling electricity wires in various localities of Kasur city pose potential threat to the lives of residents. They also unveil inefficiency and negligence on the part of both - the Lesco and the administration.
Dwellers of different areas protested against the authorities concerned for not addressing their long-standing problem. Talking to The Nation, they said that they had submitted numerous complaints to the Lesco officials regarding rehabilitation and upgradation of dangling electricity wires but to no avail. "Our children play in the streets under potential threat of being electrocuted," they expressed concerns. They said that many women, children and elderly persons have got electrical shocks from the wires, adding that the wires have also deprived many residents of their cattle. They demanded the authorities concerned to look into the matter and address their problem as soon as possible.
