WB shows interest in execution of new rail connectivity b/w Peshawar, Jalalabad

World Bank has shown interest in execution of new rail connectivity between Peshawar and Jalalabad via Loi Shalman Valley, reported Radio Pakistan.

The interest was shown by a delegation of the Bank, headed by its Transport Manager Olivier Le Ber, during its visit to the Ministry of Railways in Islamabad on Thursday.    

Director-General Planning of the Ministry briefed the delegation about thirteen km long railway track between Port Qasim and Bin Qasim.    

The World Bank showed interest in having an analytical study of different terminals at Karachi so that in future it would be easy to select a transport mode for upcountry movement of freight.
