Pakistan’s cricket has been in a mess for several years. Honestly speaking, cricket in our part of the world has always been a victim of long-drawn controversies. It is a known fact that politics has crept in everywhere and ruined all our institutions. Undeniably, cricket was one game where Pakistan excelled, but even that has finished. Scandals and politics has ruined the only sport left in Pakistan.
The goings and comings of Najam Sethi and others have made Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) a laughing stock in the cricketing world. In the larger interest of cricket urgent measures need to be taken by people at the helm to put things straight, once and for all. If this is not done, I am afraid, like other sports, cricket will also die in Pakistan.
