ATC serves notices to Pervez Musharraf in Benazir Bhutto murder case

RAWALPINDI: Benazir Bhutto murder case has entered into final phase and notices have been issued to 8 accused persons. including former president Pervez Musharraf.

Benazir Bhutto murder case came up for hearing before Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi today.

The court issued notice to all accused including former president Pervez Musharraf. The court has directed all accused to record their statements before it on November, 21.

Scotland Yard inquiry report has also been made part of court’s proceedings, as evidence.

Post-mortem report and statement of former interior secretary Kamal Shah have also been presented in the court

According to Kamal Shah, Benazir Bhutto was facing life threat and she being a former Prime Minister (PM) had sent a letter, requesting the then government to provide her security. The then government did not provide her security. Security was provided to former prime ministers Chaudhry Shujaat and Shaukat Aziz, but no security was provided to Benazir Bhutto.
