Man kills third wife, her sister

Karachi - Man killed his third wife, her sister and also wounded an infant over a family dispute here in the limits of Macher Colony police station.

Police said that 24-year-old Saima, wife of Abdur Rehman, her 20-year-old sister Taslima and a four-month-old Munir Rehman were wounded when Abdur Rehman opened fire at them and managed to flee along with his two wives.

Police rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to the hospital where doctors pronounced both the women dead while termed the child’s condition critical. Police said that it had registered the case and started investigations.

While on one hand police said that cause of the dispute was yet to be ascertained, on the other it suspected that the incident might have to do with man’s three marriages.

Also, a man and his young son were wounded when they resisted a robbery bid here in the limits of Ahsanabad police station on Monday.

Police said that armed bandits barged into the house located in Allah Bux Goth and held the whole family hostage.

Owner of the house, 45-year-old Malook and his 14-year-old son Shahzad offered resistance which infuriated the bandits who opened fire at them and left both of them wounded. However, the bandits managed to flee from the spot while the victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors termed the condition of both of them critical.

Police have registered the case and have started investigations.

Rangers’ man injured

Unknown gunmen shot and injured a Ranger’s man here in the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station.

Police said that 28-year-old Owais Ahmed was on his way to home when gunmen intercepted him and shot him over resistance.

Police said that wounded cop was later shifted to the hospital where doctors termed his condition out of danger.
