Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will formally inaugurate the first phase of Kachhi Canal project in Dera Bugti on Thursday, reported Radio Pakistan.
The project in Balochistan has been completed at a cost of eighty billion rupees. The canal project will irrigate seventy two thousand acre of barren land in the area.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony the premier stated that this is project of Nawaz Sharif and he should have been here.
"This is not a normal project rather a huge one as it will change the fate of common people of Dera Bugti," he asserted.
The premier further stated that providing facilities to people of Balochistan is basic duty of federal government. "It is also our duty to overcome our shortcoming of past for masses of Balochistan," he asserted.
