The Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, while disqualified Imran's aide Jehangir Tareen under Article 62 (1) (f) of the constitution, which sets the precondition for a lawmaker to be "sadiq and ameen" (truthful and honest).
The court also referred PTI's foreign funding case to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and including Justice Umar Atta Bandial and Justice Faisal, heard PML-N Hanif Abbasi’s petition.
