Over 40 FIA deputationists repatriated

LAHORE  - The Interior Ministry has repatriated more than 40 officers of grade-16 to grade-19, who were working in FIA on deputation, to their parent departments, a notification said on Friday.
It is worth mentioning here that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had already declared the deputation system in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) illegal, directing the FIA DG to send the deputationists to their parent departments forthwith.
The officers of grade-19 repatriated to their parent departments included JamIl Ahmad Khan of Secretariat Group working as additional director establishment, FIA Headquarters, Tahir Jameel from NBP, Peshawar, as Additional Director ECW, FIA Headquarters, Amir Ali Khan from NADRA Office, Islamabad working as additional director security, FIA Headquarters, Babar Shah (ex-PCS) from the Punjab government, working as additional director monitoring, Zonal Office Punjab, and Moazzam Ali Bhutto from PIA working as additional director NR3C, Islamabad.
The officers of grade-18 repatriated to their parent departments were Naveed Khan Tareen from FBR working as deputy director, FIA, Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC), Muhammad Zahid Bhatti from FBR working as deputy director logistic, FIA Headquarters, Noor Khan from Intelligence Bureau (IB), working as deputy director CBC, Multan, Saadat Ali Yasin from Sindh police working as deputy director, ACC Hyderabad, Ghazanfar Hussain Kazmi from NADRA working as deputy director Abbottabad, Mazhar Hussain Shah from FBR working as deputy director, CCC Islamabad, Waseem Ahmad from Nepra, Agha Muhammad Ali Abbas and Saghir Ahmad Wattoo from information group.
Grade-17 officers included Syed Roshan Mustafa, Ehsan Ahmad Lother, Awais Behram, Ali Adnan Munawar, Shoaib Saleem, Agha Fahad Ahmad Khan, Ali Raza, Vickash Motan POTA, AsgharAli Mangrio, Syed Aurangzeb-ul-Hassan, Ali Zeshan Haider, Mehmod Ahmad Bhatti, Syed Haider Shah and Syed Yasin Ali Shah. Grade-16 officers included Farrukh Hayat, Asif Yar, Muhammad Hayat, Ali Akbar and Khushal Mir.
An FIA officer said that as per FIA’s Appointment, Posting and Transfer Rules 1975, recruitment in FIA in grade-16 and above was required to be made through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), but all deputationists who were regularised or their services were absorbed in FIA were illegal, being against the rules.
