Five people including three police officers were killed in an attack Thursday on the police investigation building in Lahore, a police official said. Gunmen stormed two police training centres and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), with senior Lahore police official Haider Ashraf telling a local television channel that the FIA had been cleared of rebels. "They (police) have taken control -- the building has been cleared. The operation is complete. There were five dead total... three of them are police officials," said Ashraf. He said that one of the dead was a civilian, describing the fifth fatality as "unidentified." He did not comment on the situation at the two training centres.
