COMSATS leading Pakistan in biomedical materials research
LAHORE (PR): Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering are used to repair bone, skin, teeth and related ailments. IRCBM at COMSATS Institute Lahore therefore focuses on translational research to ensure indigenisation and sustainability of developed prototypes.
Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials (IRCBM), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore organised the 6th International Symposium on Biomedical Materials: Synergising Partnerships (14-16 December 2017). Governor of Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana was the chief guest on the opening ceremony held at a local hotel.
In addition to leading national researchers and clinicians ISBM 2017 has participation from foreign delegates from UK, New Zealand, Malaysia and France. ISBM 2017 also focusses on bridging the gap between academia and industry – entrepreneurial businessmen, consultants and developers of some leading incubation centres in the country will be coming together at ISBM 2017 as well.
