Grade VIII papers leaked, exam cancelled

 QUETTA - The Balochistan Examination and Assessment Commission (BEAC) cancelled Grade VIII papers on Friday after these were leaked hours before scheduled timing on Friday.

The BEAC initiated investigation to trace out the responsible for this misdemeanour.

The question papers of history and geography for eighth class were circulated on social media before exam timing which left no option with BEAC but to issue cancellation instruction of the papers and also launched probe to find out the culprits.

The high authorities of the commission also directed the superintendents to dispatch back envelops of question papers without removing the seal so that it would help the authorities to find out the culprits of leaking the paper.

QUETTA POLICE ROUND UP 52 DRUG ADDICTS

The City police launching drive against drug addicts on Friday detained at least 52 persons and handed them over to the Insaniyat Bachao Tehreek (Save Humanity Movement).

The drive was started with the special directives of Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, who is also head of the rehabilitation center, Provincial Home Secretary Dr. Akbar Harifal and DIG Quetta Abdul Razaaq Cheema.

Following the instructions, the drive began under the directives of Superintendent of Police (City) Abdullah Jan Afridi who rounded up around 52 drug addicts.

Police have apprehended 134 drug addicts so far and handed them over to rehabilitation center.

The public circles have commended the crackdown of police and IBT against drug affected people.
