Judges visit Adiala Jail

Rawalpindi - As many as four senior judges have paid a visit to Adiala Jail on Friday and inspected women and juvenile wards, kitchens, hospitals and barracks.

Superintendent Adiala Jail Saeed Ullah Gondal received the judges, including Additional District and Session Judge Islamabad West Chaudhry Basit Alim, Civil Judge Navid Khan, ADSJ Rawalpindi Raja Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Judicial Magistrate Raja Umer Javed Virk and Probation Officer Rawalpindi Ali Nawazish upon their arrival in the jail.

The judges of twin cities conducted inspection of women and juvenile wards, kitchens, hospital, and various other barracks.

The judges also met with prisoners and listened to their problems they were facing during detention in the jail. The judges expressed their satisfaction over cleanliness condition and other facilities being given to the prisoners by the jail administration.

Talking to The Nation, Superintendent Adiala Jail Saeed Ali Gondal said ADSJ Islamabad (West) Chaudhry Basit Alim and ADSJ Rawalpindi Raja Muhammad Ajmal ordered to release four prisoners involved in minor crimes on their personnel surety.
