CM announces Rs 10m for Saad Memorial Sports Trust

PESHAWAR - Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that the sacrifices by police officers and Jawans in the war against terror can’t be overlooked. He said that the young generation should decide a type of future in line of the sacrifices of their great heroes that not only become a source of success but also steer the province to development and prosperity.
He was chairing the 6th annual meeting of Malik Saad Memorial Sports Trust at his office on Tuesday.
Participants of the meeting included co-chairman Malik Saad Memorial Sports Trust IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad AKbar Khan Hoti, Secretary Amjad Aziz Malik, Provincial Sports Secretary Syed Jamal-ud-Din Shah, Secretary Auqaf, Vice Chancellor Engineering University Peshawar, MPA and other members of the trust.
The CM, who is also the patron-in-chief of the Trust, said that the police officers and Jawans have made us triumphant in the war against terrorism by rendering scarifying their lives. He added that it demands of us to remember them and not to let their sacrifices go waste. He lauded the performance of Malik Saad Memorial Sports Trust and paid tributes to all its members trustees.
He said that sports activities under the trust are providing opportunities of playing to youth along with infusing them with spirit of moving ahead in life. He hoped that training under taken by sportsmen in academies under the Trust will soon find place in Provincial and national teams.
The CM said that he is part of the Trust and will extend support and cooperation to it in future. He announced a grant worth Rs 10 million for the Trust and hoped that the Trust will improve further after increasing its resources.
