HAFIZABAD - Education Task Force Punjab Chairperson Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the provincial government was providing maximum healthcare facilities to the masses by spending Rs.40 billion across the province.
She was addressing an anti-hepatitis injections’ distributions ceremony at the District Headquarters Hospital of Hafizabad. Some 210 patients got injections.
She said that the Punjab government was spending Rs.5.50 billion for providing medicines in the hospitals across the province during current fiscal year. She said that a Trauma Centre and various other development schemes were being executing in the district at a cost of Rs150 million for ensuring provision of better healthcare. She urged philanthropists to come forward and play their viral role for providing healthcare and serving the ailing humanity.
Medical Superintendent Irshadullah Chattha, District Heath Advisory Committee Chairman Riaz Ahmad Tarar, social workers and philanthropists were also present.
Ex-husband attacks newlywed couple : persons attacked a wedding party over a marriage issue in Hafizabad and injured eight people including the couple.
The injured were shifted to a hospital. The daughter of Abdul Rasheed, a resident of Wali Town was married with Muhammad Akbar three years ago. Later, Akbar Ali divorced Aisha.
After 6 months divorced, parents engaged her with Muhammad Javed, a resident of Faisalabad. The other day, Muhammad Javed was returning after Nikah from Hafizabad. On the way, the former husband of Aisha, Muhammad Akbar, along with his 13 accomplices attacked the marriage party.
Resultantly, Javed, Aisha and other 11 person were injured and shifted to hospital.
