LAHORE - Pakistan's top female athlete Zeenat Parveen won two bronze medals in the Asian Grand Prix Athletics Series 2012 held from May 6 to 14 at Chonburi Campus Stadium, Thailand.
Out of four-member team, Zeenat made her country proud by putting up a good show and winning two medals in shot put with 13.93m and 13.69m score line, said AFP spokesman.  As Zeenat from Wapda won the medals, her other female colleague Rabia Ashiq failed to impress in 800m and so did the two male participants Liqauat Ali and Farhan Ahmed in 100m and 800m respectively.  Meanwhile, AFP president Maj Gen (retd) M Akram Sahi has felicitated Zeenat on her brilliant show.
