MANDI BAHAUDDIN-Four people including a woman died in different incidents here the other day.
According to police, a man and his wife died after the motorbike they were travelling on was hit head-on by a passenger van near Chak 28 village. The deceased were identified as Munir and his wife Shamshad Begum. They were residents of Bhalwal and were on the way to Bosal village to attend funeral of one of their relatives. Miana Gondal police registered a case against the van driver and launched investigation.
On the other hand, two persons died of lightning. Naseer was working in fields in vicinity of Phalia tehsil. It was raining with thunderstorm. In the meanwhile, a bolt of lightning struck Naseer, causing him fatal injuries. He was rushed to Phalia THQ Hospital where he died. In another incident, Master Nawaz of Kot Satar Gharbi, a village situated in outskirts of Phalia tehsil, was struck by lightning and died instantly.
