Pakistan has been nominated to the Executive Council of the International Islamic News Agency a media organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the second consecutive term at its 25th meeting in Jeddah, reported Radio Pakistan.

The meeting deliberated upon the plan to revitalize the Agency.

The meeting also discussed the role of news agencies in member states in supporting the Palestinian cause and combating the terrorist rhetoric.
