OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Parts of the country including the provincial city received rains of varying intensities on Saturday with experts predicting the prevailing weather pattern to continue during the next couple of days. Dust storm and rains caused decrease in the mercury level in plains of the Punjab including the City, providing some respite to the people from hot weather conditions. Maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 33.2 degree Celsius and 17.5 C respectively. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded 73pc which decreased to 52pc in the evening. According to the experts, a westerly wave still persists over north of the country. The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorm/rain for the City during the next couple of days. It forecast scattered rains for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Kashmir. The Met office also predicted rains at isolated places of north Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.
